Hey Guys,

A photo is attached of my panel

It is a 10" Wide x 22" long panel that will need the 1/2 seam allowance added to the sides.

I am trying to center double diamonds on a 10 x 22 panel.

I am struggling to get a fit on the 22" Long.

I’ll attach the diamond formula sheet we got at wyotech. It’s beem so long since I’d have to do some thinking to see if I could get it right myself.

Things like D.W. And D.L. Are diamond width and length.
F.W. Is final width and F.L. Length
S.A. Is seam allowance. It doesn’t say this but if you use a 1/2” seam allowance this number is now 1” cause you factor 1/2” on both ends if that makes sense.
T.A. Is too stitch

If I missed one that doesn’t make sense. Just ask. But if you’re trying to make diamond fit in a certain size like this. Use the alternative formula. Where you know the final length and width. Then you can say I want x amount of diamonds and then favor diamond width. The numbers from step one follow down to step 2 etc.

@John, @ Cody, you guys use the calculators not sure if I got this right. Just gonna sit on it before I plot it. Not sure if WP1, WP2 and LP1, LP2 shoild be the same as each other.

small trick i forgot to mention in the video. If your ok with a little wider spacing you can just run the center line along the edge of your foot as you sew. Then you can avoid drawing the3 extra lines. But I personally like the spacing to be a little closer.

@John, Very tempting man! Tis edge of the foot up against the line? I have a load of chalk lines and do not want to mess them up. I think I am ok with a little wider spacing.
