When you have covered a seat with cloth, do you recommend treating it with something like Scotchguard to protect it?

I generally wont touch that fabric with anything once she is sewed up. I am not risking a load of hard work get foiled with a possible mishap.

Most fabric comes already treated for stain resistance and you dont want to compromise that with a new chemical.
