Hey everyone! I wanted of introduce everyone to Torrie. She is part of the team at Albright's supplies. This is my favorite online upholstery supply store. I asked her to join the forum because she has a lot of knowledge about the supplies available in our industry. If she doesn't know the answer, for sure someone at Albright's does. torriec is her user name if you put @torriec in your post she will get a notification that she was mentioned.

Thanks @torriec for joining the community!! We are happy to have you

Actually @torriec I have a question! The U.S. Bonded Polyester you guys carry. What brand is that? I know a lot of thread in the US comes from the Coats factory and gets re-branded. Is that the case here?

Good Question John,

My supplier said that Coats is made right there and they will not supply as it is all exported thus the difficulty for me to get coats off the shelves for the automotive sewing.

Hey Bondo,

Coats is all over the place for general sewing here but just not in the industrial threads. A pound spool shipped would be a heck of a good price, use the Sunguard if your wanting UV resistance thread that does the job. I have ran through two spools of it, not my favorite but Allbright sells it.

Bondo thousands of interiors are probably done in this Suguard. Maybe stick with it for your whole project then practice with other threads and see if you and your machine like one or the other better.

@torriec What is your sample book policy? Do you have to be a business registered with you guys? or just will you also send samples to retail customers that have ordered or plan to order from you?

@Scott D We have a sample request form on our website, www.albrightssupply.com. Fill that out and we'll send samples. Usually we just require a business name or a tax id / business license number. Thanks!
