I used to write my name on the back of the insert I replaced. Now I take some light weight, white canvass, cut it into one and a half by two and a half rectangles and stamp it with a stamp that has my name, address, city, state and phone number on it. It has enough room left on it to date and sign. Then sew it to the inside rear of the seat cover, right next to the made in Mexico tag. I say this because about six months ago a girl upholsterer from Sweden sent me a picture of the back of a seat cover with my name written on it that I did in 1991. My shop is in Illinois. These cars really get around.

That's a really cool story! Illinois to Sweden. That's quite the distance. What car was it? I have heard of a lot of guys doing similar things. I personally have not done this...

It was a 1958 Oldsmobile. It's been so long ago, I don't remember exactly what I did to the car.

When I do furniture, I staple a business card inside the frame under the dust cover. I going to think about this....

That’s cool
It came back. Never thought of marking my work. Guess I’m always nervous they won’t like it and others won’t either and don’t want to shoot myself in the foot lol

I do write on the back of panels. Mostly what the panel is (location on truck) then Smokin S Customs, then date it. Helps with orders that I'm not installing in house, i.e. shipping orders for someone else to install.
