Hello everyone, I am working on V-berth cushions for a customer and I need to cut the thickness of the foam, I have a thickness arch saw, it works ok but the blade moves a bit and doesn’t make a nice straight cut.
For those of you who have experience with this type of saw, can you share any tips please?

Can you include a picture for an arch foam AND a U cut saw? I've been around tools all my life and have never heard of either, and a google search doesn't bring anything up either.

Kind of like a bow saw. How about if you sandwiched the foam between two pieces of plywood and used the edges as a guide? Two other options, bandsaw or one of those reciprocating saws, Sailrite carries them but they're a little pricey.

I do have a saw for lengthwise cutting, but at the moment I need to split a mattress in half on the thickness side and it is too wide for my other electric saw, I need the whole 36” of th u cut

That's a tough one, would it be easier to just buy a new piece of the thickness you need? I'm out of ideas -
