Hello everyone, what do you all think of bar tacking machines?
I have a contract to do, J need to sew loops at the end of slack lines.
I can do it with my zig-zag walking foot (salirite knockoff)
But I am wondering if it would be worth it to look into these machines?

IMHO it's only worth it if you have enough to do that the machine more then pays for itself vs using the machine you have.

How many do you need to make and how much is a new machine?

If it's cam driven, make sure it's already set up for the stitch you want to make. Or at least having the correct one with it. They're all digital nowadays, finding cams could prove difficult

It is not a computerized model.
That much I know, I will read up on it and figure it out, believe it is a 28 stitch model??? Whatever that means.

The machine is over 6 hour drive from
Me, so I need to try and get as much info as I can before deciding on going or not

Here is an example of what a brand new programmable machine does.
