I'm build a seat for a mission chair I am building. Calls for multiple layers of a variety of materials in the build. After the 5" springs go in there is a layer of burlap then edge roll, cotton, Synthetic rubberized hair, cotton batting, hogs hair, 2" latex foam, cotton batting, muslin then the fabric. Overall thickness of build is supposed to be 8-1/2.

1st layer of cotton batting I am unsure of what thickness to use.

2nd layer of cotton batting looks thicker than the first, but how thick?

Thanks for any help.
