What foam/s are used for hatch companionway covers? From the pieces I've seen the foam generally seems to be 1/8" to 1/4" thick.
Sailrite is so informative I checked there first ... but had to email their staff with my question ... and the guy who replied obviously didn't understand what I was asking about. This was his suggested product: https://www.sailrite.com/Closed-Cell-Foam-Padding SKU: 124929-1212 I've seen that foam, it is very stiff, and some hatch covers I've seen are stiff and might use it, but it is not suitable for a companionway cover. And how weather-resistant is Polyolefin ???
Found Albright's because of this site (yay!) but the only suitable-looking foam I found there is Landau top padding foam. Thoughts for that ???
What about polyester batting? https://www.sailrite.com/Batting-83-Thick-55-Wide
