Can I get some advice please, I jumped in the deep end and have been upholstering a french vintage looking 3 seater. Now working on the inside back with buttons. Have make the buttons but not sure if I have to add calico and tuft them before I add the actual fabric and buttons.
Any help would be fab.

Are you using a button die and press? If so you just load the button parts and the circle of upholstery. In the die and then press it all together.
