I have most of my 58 Delray's custom interior done. I designed it and did it in a great class at the Hot Rod Institute. What I am trying to figure out is, how would I start to do a similar tuck n roll dash like the Impala in AG? I am trying to figure out, if I lay down foam and cut it into the contours or, maybe, put a removable layer of 'glass down and upholster it and maybe build it like a dash pad with studs. All comments, concerns and ideas are welcome. Tried finding a tutorial in old magazines to no avail. I am really just looking for the starting point. But, am open to discussion. TIA

I have never done a dash pattern but I have used the flexable plastic special pattern material for several projects. Sailrite sells it in four different widths, 60" to 72" wide. It's actually very inexpensive. This would enable you to do a actual dimension lay out over the speedometer bump up and maintain the rolls as you wan them. Again, never don this specific job but have used the material to make patterns in similar situations.
Hope this helps.
