i used this machine every day sometimes all day and it was like driving a caddilac...soòoo smooth
then i noticed a skipped stitch once in awhile.
then more often..eventually i had to resew every seam..so i pulled out my consew.
but while i was using the pfaff i did try needle after needle.it would stop skipping for a couple seams then skip a stitch.sometimes it would skip right away so i really couldnt tell if it was the needle.
however, i took it to a shop, when i got it back it had a really thin needle in it and was told it never skipped while they used it. but i cant use one of those thin needles for what i do. so as soon as i put a bigger needle in it it skipped again.
the skipped stitch wouldnt be that big of a deal if i only used the machine for doing small furniture jobs or sewing quilts or my own personal stuff,
but i use it to sew custom seat covers for show cars and motorcycle seats with fancy colored stitches that i cant go back and fill in one stitch because it causes an imperfection in the stitchline. on a motorcycle seat it would be very noticable.
so my frustration with this was causing me to lose sleep..i really miss using that machine , like i said,
like driving a caddilac....
oh i forgot to mention, if i listened , i could hear it skip a stitch..i could hear everytime it made a complete stitch then when it skipped it cause a pause in the repetative sewing sound
tap tap tap tap(?)tap tap tap.does that make sense.?
