Hi all, I have some seats which need some foam repair and reupholstering.
However upon removing the cover, I noticed that the metal bar of which the Bar holder is attached to is coming away from the base. I have never experienced this, and would like to some advice of how to fix this.
The bar shown in the pictures aren't attached to anything, and I think are usually embedded in the foam.

I'm still new to upholstery, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You may be able to poke stiff wire down to the seat frame to stabilize the listing frame, wrap it around something that doesn't move. The seat cover will be pulling it up, so you need to secure it down to the base of the seat frame. The right side of the foam looks like the cover ripped and it was exposed to UV light for quite a while, can you get some thin PU foam to bond to it before replacing the covers?

Thanks for the tip. I will try and find a secure area to wire it down to. I will then try ans bond some foam to level it out. Hopefully it works

,@Tuttah , that is very minor for a repair. I think it is a good project for you to learn how to use contact cement properly. Good advice from all on here for you.
