I read that some people tie the thread at the beginning and end of sewing if they think the locking back stitch might show on the front. Does this work as well as doing a locking stitch with the machine?
Also, what if I am finishing the bottom part of a car seat but the back of the seat is not going to be done- The stitch threads are faded on the back of the seat so it will not match the new thread. Is it redoing the whole seat bottom and back or nothing?
