I'm looking at ordering some hog rings since I'm all out. I'm seeing 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", etc. How do I know what size I need? Is there a "most common" size?

I have 3/4 because that's what most suppliers carry. I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to have other sizes on hand though.

In the only project where I have I used hog rings I had to use the two sizes that came with my hog ring plier when I purchased it because in some places the small ones did not reach the place where I wanted to attach it. Given that, at least the made in China ones are not expensive, it would be handy to have several sizes to choose from
