I thought I would share my latest personal project with you guys. I’ve been working on it off and on for the past couple of months and just got it finished up. It’s a trunk from a 1953 Buick super. It had about 8 layers of various types of paint on it when I got it, so I stripped it and tried my hand at doing fake patina paint. I’m not too unhappy with the result considering I have no clue what I’m doing haha. This was also my first try at doing everything with actual leather. I think the leather was actually nicer to handle and stitch up than vinyl is. The hide is from crest leather and is called saloon rum. I will definitely need to redo my personal pickup bench seat in leather now.
