all I know is it from 1911, has a take up system i have never seen. Was just thrown in my lap & seems to need repair..

A pic of the brass tag would be helpful, lots of makes/models used that body style for a lot of years, the take-up is interesting. It's drop feed feed and will most likely be limited on thread/needle size and stitch length, but probly a fine straight stitcher once oiled and serviced.
