I am doing fabric inserts in my vinyl seats, can anyone tell me if calculating pleats is the same for cloth as it is for vinyl?
Any tips on working with cloth would appreciated....

In my experience pleats in cloth react the same as vinyl and leather. But its never a bad idea to sew a small test to make sure the top stitch allowance is the same as your calculation.

The one thing to worry about with cloth is that sometimes it has a nap direction just like carpet and you need to make sure you position the pieces in the same direction otherwise you will see a color difference.
