Hi Guys,

I have never used faux suede before, so I was wondering if any of you have had this problem or if it’s just a normal occurrence with faux suede.

Faux Suede with 1/4” scrim foam

I have sewn a straight line and I keep getting a puckering/wrinkle effect either side of the stitch (see attached picture)

I have adjusted the tension numerous times, set my foot pressure to it’s absolute minimum and problem still persists.

Or am I just being fussy? :joy:

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Grady

Looks like your presser feet and feed dog are marking the leather. Lessening foot pressure may help. But i think you need smooth feet/dog.

What brand suede are you using? Is it backed, unbaked suede or headliner suede?
