Hey I just wanted to share with everyone a new trick I found. One problem that can happen when laying down headliner fabric is pressing in finger indents from your hand. The trick is to take a scrap piece of headliner and sew a simple glove to put over your hand. It works great and avoids getting it dirty if you have dirty hands. I say someone else doing this a while back and figured I give it a try.

I don't have a problem with this when glueing the fabric, I use a microfiber sponge to spread the pressure. The problem I have is when I'm installing the headliner back in the car. I always end up with a few finger indents... Any tricks you guys have?

So the reason that happens is because the contact cement has not fully cured and when you press down on the with your finger tips it locks that in place.
If I can I like to let it sit over night. But thats not always a possibility.... in that case you need to be very careful to not place any pressure with your finger tips while installing and being sure to spreed evenly over your entire hand.Another thing is make sure you aren't using too much glue.
