I have an original seat out of a Datsun 260z that I'd like to install in my 260. The seat is in great condition with the exception of dry rot that looks like cracks on the seat bottom. The threads are not broken; however, the weave is pulled apart in spots.
As an alternative to getting the seats recovered, is it possible to reinforce the seat using interfacing or other means so that I can get a few years out of it?
If I disassemble the seat, should I use horsehair material (or man-made similar material) when reinstalling the cover or is there a better material to use.

Thanks to all and Stay Safe
