I built some mission style chairs. My wife and I made the sweats with 8 way hand ties spring pretty close to this image per the plan. I weight 230 lbs and the springs are uncomfortable for me. So I built a zig zag spring seat to fit in the chair and I am trying to figure out how to get this to match the other seat so they both look similar.

Only idea I can come up with is to build a false front using foam to raise the height in from and fill the void behind it and underneath the 2" foam layer shown with batting. Appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks Brian

Maybe a dumb question but couldn't you make them both with the no-sag springs and modify both to closely match the original design?
